Ooma Office Yealink phone call forwarding

Back to all carriers

Use the number assigned in Phone. See the placeholder guide before entering a code. Availability and charges depend on your service and plan.

These steps apply only to Ooma Office Yealink phone. If this is not your phone product, choose Other or ask your provider.

Use the Ooma Office Yealink desk phone for the extension that receives your business calls. These codes are from Ooma’s guide for Yealink phones; other Ooma devices and the Ooma Office app may use different steps.

Activate your receptionist in Xaller.ai before turning on forwarding. Your existing line does not connect automatically.

Procedure reviewed: 2026-10-13. Live carrier test: not performed. A source review is not proof that this procedure works on every plan.

  1. On an Ooma Office phone, dial *72 and wait for the prompt. Code or destination: *72.
  2. Enter your Xaller.ai number followed by Code or destination: {us10}#.
  3. Follow the voice prompts, then call the business number from another phone to test.
  • Dial *74 and follow the prompts to turn forwarding off. *74

Call your business number from a different phone. Your Ooma phone should not ring and your receptionist should answer.

The Ooma Office no-answer path depends on the extension and ring-group configuration; ask Ooma to confirm external no-answer routing for your setup.

Use Forward all calls if it fits your needs.

Ooma’s documented Virtual Receptionist after-hours options do not establish a direct external number route for every Office setup.

Use Forward all calls if it fits your needs.

  • Not sure whether forwarding is on? Dial *74 and listen to the prompt, then call your business number to check.
  • Calls still ring your desk phone? Repeat *72 and enter all ten digits followed by #.
  • Your business number rings a ring group or Virtual Receptionist first? Ask your Ooma administrator; this guide covers one extension.

Call from another phone. Check that your receptionist answers, the call appears in Calls, and your expected notification arrives. Test busy and no-answer behavior separately. If anything fails, turn forwarding off and troubleshoot the route.

Return to Phone, start a five-minute check and call your existing business number from a separate phone. Do not dial the assigned destination for this check. Let the selected condition happen, listen for your receptionist, say a few words and hang up. Confirm the matching call only if it was your test and it worked. An arrival alone is not success. No-answer and busy each need their own test; after-hours needs the phone-service schedule and time zone.

Tested with you records this one test, not continuous carrier verification. If it fails, check the product, destination, permissions and condition, or restore previous handling using the undo steps above.

*74 switches forwarding on or off, so listen to the prompt to confirm which state you are in. Ooma’s guide covers forwarding all calls only; ask Ooma about no-answer or after-hours routing for your setup.

Pausing Xaller.ai does not turn off carrier forwarding. To restore previous handling, change the settings at your phone provider.

Return to Phone — your saved setup is retained when you sign in. No phone number is included in this link.
